These Terms & Conditions apply when you use the EDEN ECU website, contact EDEN ECU, request a quotation, book a service, send in control modules, purchase products or make use of any service offered by EDEN ECU.
By using this website or requesting services from EDEN ECU, you agree to these terms.
EDEN ECU provides specialist vehicle electronic services, including ECU programming, control module cloning, key programming, bench diagnosis, module supply and programming, data repair, security code calculation, system synchronising and related services.
EDEN ECU also offers selected products and parts through its website, but services remain the main focus of the business.
The information on this website is provided for general guidance.
Vehicle electronic faults can differ based on the vehicle, module condition, previous work done, wiring condition, software, coding, key system and other factors. Final advice can only be given after EDEN ECU has reviewed the information, parts or modules provided.
All quotations are based on the information supplied by the customer and the inspection carried out by EDEN ECU where required.
A quotation may change if:
The customer supplied incorrect or incomplete information
Extra faults are found after inspection
More modules or parts are needed
A replacement module must be supplied
The job changes from standard programming to a special project
Courier, delivery or handling needs change
No full repair, programming or supply work will be carried out without customer approval of the quotation, unless otherwise agreed.
The customer is responsible for providing accurate details about the vehicle, fault, module, previous repair attempts and any parts already replaced.
Where parts must be sent to EDEN ECU, the customer is responsible for removing and packaging the correct parts unless another arrangement has been made.
EDEN ECU will advise which parts may need to be sent in, but the customer or their workshop remains responsible for safe removal, packaging and delivery of those parts.
EDEN ECU offers send-in and return services for customers across South Africa.
Customers will be advised which modules, keys or parts need to be sent in based on the service required.
Standard work is usually completed within 48 hours after EDEN ECU receives the required components, where the job is a normal programming procedure. Complex faults, special projects, damaged modules, parts supply, data recovery or full network setups may take longer.
If control modules are sent in for inspection, programming, repair or synchronising, and the customer chooses not to proceed after diagnosis and quotation, inspection and handling fees may apply.
Current inspection and handling fees:
Single control module: R650, including PostNet return to the customer
Multiple control module network setup: R1,850, including PostNet return to the customer
These fees cover time spent on inspection, handling, testing and return delivery.
EDEN ECU cannot guarantee that a module, key, ECU, BCM, BSI, cluster, ABS module, immobilizer, gearbox ECU or other component can be repaired, cloned, programmed or recovered before inspection.
Some modules may be too damaged, incorrectly supplied, previously tampered with, locked, corrupted or unsuitable for the requested work.
Vehicle electronic work can carry risk, especially when modules have previous damage, water damage, power issues, internal faults, failed programming attempts or corrupt data.
EDEN ECU takes reasonable care and uses proper equipment, but cannot be held responsible for hidden faults, previous damage, courier damage, incorrect parts supplied by the customer, or modules that fail due to pre-existing issues.
Where EDEN ECU supplies products or parts, the customer must confirm that the part or product is correct for their vehicle or service request.
Some products may require programming, coding or matching before they can work in a vehicle.
Products supplied for programming-related work may not be usable without the correct vehicle details, matching data or related modules.
Payment terms will be confirmed with the customer before work is carried out or goods are released.
EDEN ECU may require payment before parts, products or completed modules are returned.
All prices are subject to change unless confirmed in writing through a valid quotation.
Courier or delivery times depend on the courier provider and delivery area.
EDEN ECU is not responsible for delays caused by couriers, incorrect delivery details, public holidays, strikes, weather, lost parcels or other delivery issues outside its control.
Customers must package modules and parts securely when sending them to EDEN ECU.
Certain services, including mileage adjustment, immo off and security code-related work, are only available for lawful purposes.
EDEN ECU reserves the right to refuse any job that appears unlawful, unsafe, suspicious or not in line with responsible vehicle repair practices.
EDEN ECU will not be liable for indirect losses, downtime, towing costs, lost income, vehicle storage fees, workshop labour, replacement transport, or other costs linked to a vehicle fault unless required by law.
EDEN ECU’s responsibility is limited to the service or product supplied, subject to the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable South African law. The Consumer Protection Act promotes fair consumer standards for goods and services in South Africa.
EDEN ECU may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version published on this website will apply.
