Refund and Returns Policy

This Return & Refund Policy applies to services, send-in work, inspections, programming work, repairs, supplied modules, keys, products and other items purchased from EDEN ECU.

1. Services Are Assessed Per Job

EDEN ECU provides technical vehicle electronic services. Each job is assessed based on the customer’s vehicle, fault, module condition, data condition, parts supplied and work required.

Because many services involve testing, programming, data work, coding or labour, refunds are handled based on the type of service and the work already completed.

2. Inspection and Handling Fees

Inspection and handling fees are not refundable once EDEN ECU has received, inspected or tested the customer’s module or parts.

Current fees:

Single control module: R650, including PostNet return to the customer
Multiple control module network setup: R1,850, including PostNet return to the customer

These fees apply when the customer chooses not to continue with the quoted work after inspection or diagnosis.

3. Programming and Repair Services

Once programming, cloning, synchronising, data repair, security code calculation, crash data clearing, BMS reset, immo off work or other technical work has started, the service fee may not be refundable.

This is because time, labour, software access, testing and technical work may already have been used.

If EDEN ECU cannot complete the requested work after assessment, the customer will be advised. Any refund or partial refund will depend on the work already completed, the fault found and the quotation accepted.

4. Products and Supplied Parts

Products or supplied parts may only be returned if:

The item is unused
The item is in its original condition
The item has not been programmed, fitted, coded, cut, opened, damaged or modified
The return is requested within the agreed return period
Proof of purchase is provided

Products that have been programmed, coded, cut, matched to a vehicle, specially ordered or supplied for a specific vehicle may not be returnable unless required by law.

5. Keys, Modules and Special-Order Parts

Keys, transponder keys, proximity keys, control modules, ECUs, BCMs, BSI units, instrument clusters, ABS modules, immobilizer parts and similar items may be non-refundable once supplied, programmed, cut, coded or matched to a vehicle.

Special-order parts may not be cancelled or refunded once ordered from the supplier, unless the item is defective or the law requires otherwise.

6. Customer-Supplied Parts

If the customer supplies their own module, key, ECU or part, EDEN ECU is not responsible if that part is faulty, incorrect, damaged, locked, incompatible or not suitable for the requested work.

Service, inspection, programming or handling fees may still apply even if the customer-supplied part cannot be used.

7. Faulty Goods

If a product supplied by EDEN ECU is found to be faulty, the customer must contact EDEN ECU as soon as possible.

EDEN ECU may need to inspect the product before approving a repair, replacement or refund.

South African consumer law provides rights linked to defective goods and fair treatment in consumer transactions.

8. Courier and Delivery Costs

Courier and delivery fees are generally not refundable unless the return is due to an error by EDEN ECU or a confirmed fault with a product supplied by EDEN ECU.

The customer may be responsible for return courier costs unless otherwise agreed.

9. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed using a suitable payment method agreed between EDEN ECU and the customer.

Refunds may take a few business days to reflect, depending on the bank or payment provider.
